Biographical Note for FRIEND VIRUS

Friend, Charlotte (1921–1987), American microbiologist. Friend served as professor and director of the center for experimental cell biology at Mt. Sinai Medical School in New York. She did research in immunology, virology, and the relationship between viruses and cancer.
